Personal
When not focused on my family, including 3 school-aged children, and my business, since 2022 I have been serving as both Chair and Finance Chair of the Hawaii State Commission on Fatherhood, and have also served on the State of Hawaii Uniform Parentage Act Task Force. I have also been a long time member of the Kaneohe Business Group, and recently joined the Hawaii Rainbow Chamber of Commerce.
I’ve lived throughout the country – having been born in the South, I grew up in New Jersey and Los Angeles, and then received my B.A. in Applied Math from the University of California at Berkeley and my M.A. in Geography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
I have spent many years in local Toastmasters clubs and belong to dba Toastmasters in downtown Honolulu. I’m also a past elections precinct worker and I am an avid swimmer, swimming 2.5 km on average 4-5 times a week.
